The urinary system, also known as the renal system or urinary tract, consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra. The urinary system is a complex, sophisticated system that regulates blood volume and blood pressure, controls levels of electrolytes and metabolites, regulates blood pH, and eliminates waste from the body.
This curriculum will cover common urological pathology, terminology, exams, and procedures with an emphasis on the urological disorders seen in clinical practice. You will be provided an overview of clinical urology needed to build a strong foundation for the aspiring medical scribe in the medical specialty of urology.
